Isn’t that peculiar.
Growing up, I avoided the heck out of farming. I was after new trainers, not old wellies. But age softens the edges, and put me back in my place… Home with my family, the animals, and the chaos – what a privilege.
Back in 2018 I started spending a lot more time visiting mum, learning about what she was doing, and making films about her life’s work.
The family farm.
From that point on, I’ve been thinking a lot more about the family farm… 5+ years wondering whether I have anything to bring to the table. This website is how we find out.
I wanted to show you the care and attention that goes into raising livestock here in the UK because it’s a very isloated and undersupported industry. I got to work with my incredible friend Josh to tell the stories that were tumbling out of the amazing personalities here at the farm.
Our farm isn’t the prettiest, or the biggest, but it is our little piece of Britain; and through it my mum has taken me on a journey of where I’m from and why that’s so important.
Farming is not an easy job, it’s not a profitable career, it’s not an inviting industry… but it’s crammed full of passion and positivity. That’s my mum’s perspective, which has shaped this evolving story.
If you’d like to support me, the farm and discover the plans going forward then you can (in no particular order):
I’d love to hear your thoughts + share with you what we have in store.
